I didn't have a lot of time to set this one up.. We were out hiking in Shenandoah National Park last summer, three adults and maybe six kids, aged 4-9. Suddenly, one of the adults spotted the bears, mere yards from the trail, and yelled, "Bear!" The two cubs ran away, then up the tree. The mother paced underneath. This was shot with an 85 mm lens, and cropped as if it were a 200 mm. A little too close for comfort.
