Mixed Drinks - Dye and Water

This series started with a simple idea: line up a bunch of champagne glasses with different colors to illustrate the spectrum from red to violet. It quickly expanded beyond that, when I observed the interesting patterns made by the drops of food dye as they dispersed in the water. My technique expanded as I learned how to improve the lighting, to mix different colored dyes at the same time, to start with a solid color before adding dye, and to use different types of glasses.
